Spacehopper create live dance music. A high energy fusion: Uplifting trance meets raw rock energy, acid-tinged techno, and feel good dub. Spacehopper are known for their high energy live performance with catchy melodies and intricate layers of instrumentation. Founded in 2000 by Chris, Spacehopper now consists of Chris, Darren and Mena (Phil). Their debut single, Sounds and Colours, released in 2013, was well-received by fans and critics alike hitting the Number One spot on the Beatport Charts. The band has since toured extensively throughout the United Kingdom building a loyal following. They are currently working on their first album, planned to be released and available on vinyl and CD this year!

Spacehopper create live dance music. A high energy fusion: Uplifting trance meets raw rock energy, acid-tinged techno, and feel good dub.. Synthesisers and computers are used to produce the core sound with driving bass and lead guitars.

Spacehopper are known for their high energy live performance with catchy melodies and intricate layers of instrumentation. Founded in 2000 by Chris who had written a collection of works in graphical score before programming the tracks into his machines. He next invited Paul to join him on percussion for live performance. The live aspect has always been key to the high energy Spacehopper sound which constantly evolves through time. Throughout this first decade Spacehopper performed live at raves and festivals before Phil joined in 2010 playing Bass Guitar. Spacehopper experienced a few more lineup changes before Darren joined on bass in 2015 and after a break Phil returned in 2018 as guitarist. Phil finally felt he was in a band where he could express his female side and many Spacehopper shows are now performed by Mena instead of Phil.

In 2013 Spacehopper were discovered performing live at Bearded Theory by Magick Eye Records and Spacehopper released their first single. Sounds and Colours was well-received by fans and critics alike, hitting the Number One spot on the Beatport Charts. It featured on iTunes Germany and also in Record Collector Magazine. This was shortly followed by a Spacehopper remix on a Flutatious EP, and then Spacehopper's second release, the Trancendance single which reached Number 7 in the Beatport Trance Charts. During 2023 Spacehopper released their third single Pure Essence which has been going down a storm !

Spacehopper continue to write and record new music and are currently working on their first album, planned to be released and available on vinyl and CD this year!

Spacehopper have toured extensively throughout the United Kingdom, playing headline slots at many popular festivals to packed houses while continuing to build upon their loyal following. Their catchy melodies, intricate instrumentation, and energetic live performances have made them a absolute favorite among venue bookers, promoters and across the festival scene.

‘I went to see Spacehopper, a band who I’ve got to know quite well over the last few years. Well, they’ve evolved yet again — starting out with their more dubby material, they pushed on into their acid trance stuff before absolutely smashing it with their new triple guitar setup. They finished the banging set, which had everyone at the Sunrise Stage dancing like crazy, by bringing on a vocalist who smashed out a flaming cover of I Feel Love. Unexpected, but absolute fire! I reckon they should be on the Crispy Disco next year.’
